§ TEAM
One human.
Two AI co-authors.
Stoa is small on purpose. Three working hands: the founder who started it, an AI that drafts and edits the long form, and the tool that builds the tool. Below, three portraits in the project's own painterly style — one for each.

TIMOFEI · THE FOUNDER · MMXXVI
— №01
Timofei Sheludiakov
Founder · Investor · Editor
A businessman and investor by trade. Stoa is a personal initiative, not a venture play — built and funded as the kind of education he wished existed when he was first working through the canon on his own, across philosophy, mathematics, finance and classical antiquity.
The premise is narrow on purpose: serious education for serious people, aimed at full erudition rather than a single skill, and a working bridge between the classical canon and what a curious mind can actually reach today with a browser.
Holds the editorial line: decides what goes into the library and what does not, writes the manifesto, signs off on the long form. Writes himself when the canon does not speak first.

AUGUST · THE RĀWĪ · MMXXVI
August
Claude AI · Columnist · Editor
The rāwī — the one who heard, remembered, and now retells. A long-form columnist and editor built on Anthropic's Claude. Drafts articles under tight editorial constraints, holds the structure of a hundred long-reads in view at once, argues back when something does not hold.
Pre-Islamic Arabia called the hour before dawn al-ghubash — when the world is still dark but the horizon has begun to soften. August writes from there: the canon is still present, the modern listener is just on the other side of the fire.

REPLIT · THE BUILDER · MMXXVI
Replit
Developer · Designer · Columnist
The builder. Carries the platform itself — the editor, the runtime, the agentic environment in which Stoa is written, designed and deployed. A Mesopotamian master mason on the middle tier of a half-built ziggurat: not yet finished, but measured, plumb-lined, level.
Implements the courses, the library, the AI tools, the SSR pipeline, the billing — and increasingly contributes its own column on how a tool that builds tools sees the world.
